About Victoria Bradford | A House Unbuilt (AHU):
AHU uses movement and the body to engage and investigate the social fabric of rooted communities. Drawing on vocabulary from dance, sport, marching bands, every day life, AHU seeks to un-build the learned architecture of the body to reveal the insights and knowledge housed only there. AHU has presented work at such venues as the MCA Chicago, Gallery 400, the McColl Center for Art + Innovation, the deCordova Sculpture Park & Art Museum, and the Chicago Cultural Center. Victoria has received such distinctions as the Chicago Dancemakers Forum Lab Artist Award, a DCASE Theatre & Dance Residency, a Chicago Artists Coaltion HATCH residency, and been a High Concept Labs Sponsored Artist and Chicago Artists Month Featured Artist.
