Zack Bailey, Company Member
Zack Bailey (b. 1985) is a late in life dancer-athlete. At age of 30 he began a daily running practice to combat the sedentary lifestyle brought on by modern work culture. Running opened his eyes to the physical pleasure one receives from physical activity. From running he came to appreciate contemporary dance and discovered there are new movements he could connect with. Bailey conceives dance as an integral part of who he is and what it means to be alive. For him a run is a dance. Both activities influences the way he moves in life. In 2018, Bailey joined A House Unbuilt’s Relay Team as a Movement Researcher. Through the collaboration he hopes to encourage others to connect to what moves them. He believes dance should and is accessible to all, regardless of the ability level, everyone can connect to physical sensations. Bailey runs and dances everyday.
